A Love Letter to The Big Bang Theory

Putting the fans first.

The Pitch

After working on The Big Bang Theory since the failed first pilot, thru the series launch, their Comic-Con debut and the syndication launch, I pitched the idea of seizing a huge opportunity to cinematically document the making of the show and it’s final episodes as well as give this iconic franchise the send-off it’s fans deserved. We also knew that this effort would pay dividends by increasing fan engagement for the upcoming launch of the show on HBO Max.

The Shoot

We embedded ourselves with the production of the show for over a month. Scouting, interviewing actors, producers, directors, artists, crafts-people and fans, while capturing pre-production, table reads and rehearsals with multiple cameras. And cinematically capturing the live performances of two of the final episodes, which included the series finale.

The Content

This is where “The Love Letter” came to life! Pitching our work to Chuck Lorre, our crew teamed with the show producers to provide production services and documentary footage for the Clio winning post finale “Unravelling the Mystery” highlight show. Providing the footage to our home entertainment division they produced a Clio winning extra content piece. Footage went to CBS where millions of fans engaged on social media. And we produced epk’s and on-air campaigns for domestic and international broadcasters that continue to drive viewership and engagement with the show.
